Exciting News: Madison Smile Solutions Breaks Ground Tentative Opening Date: January 2012 At Madison Smile Solutions our goal is to provide the best possible patient care while building lifelong relationships with our patients based on trust, communication, and value. While focusing on dental and overall wellness, we strive to create positive experiences through genuine care, comfort and excellent customer service. Our team uses knowledge, awareness, education and current technology to provide detailed options for the highest standard of dentistry in a friendly environment. For us to continue to achieve this goal, we’ve been exploring our options and we are beyond pleased to announce that our practice broke ground this morning on a new building for our office. The new location will be on Odana Road only about a block away from our current office. The building is especially designed with you, the patient, in mind. We love our current office but it has some limitations. Some of you have had concerns, for instance, there is no wheelchair ramp, the bathrooms are not easily accessible, and it is difficult to incorporate modern technology due to electrical and plumbing limitations. Our new office will overcome all of these limitations so not only will you continue to receive the highest quality care, but we will have more room to treat our patients, along with their family and friends. We will be utilizing the best technology and ergonomics for your comfort and safety in an office that supports our mission. In other words, you will have more comfortable, shorter appointments! Our new office will offer many new features that will benefit you. It will offer privacy and relaxation! Whether it is for a question about your options, or you want to be sedated for your dental work, we will have a solution for you. We will have specific operatories for sedating people who seek sedation dentistry. Private consultation rooms will give us a chance to talk about treatment and procedures out of earshot of others. Low stress and optimal efficiency for work flow will create a cheerful, well-organized environment. The office will have a calmness to it that blends in with the high-tech operatories. New and improved sterilization will be another feature you will benefit from too. Our new office will feature numerous green products and efficiencies to cut down on waste and to utilize as many renewable resources as possible. Adding technology is an advantage to moving this practice and does not mean we are raising our prices. We will continue to benchmark other offices in our area and keep rates competitive and fair. Likewise, collecting co-pays and payments upfront lets us pay our bills on time, keeping fees low for everyone. Madison Smile Solutions is planning on improving care without a significant change in prices. Our new building is expected to welcome new patients this winter. GREEN Building Features of New Office Building Orientation and size: South glazing was designed with overhangs and higher glass to allow sun to be blocked in the summer and allow sun to penetrate into the building in the winter. Operatories where located along north facing windows to allow for consistent good quality light. The square footage of the building was reduced to be as small as possible while still meeting the needs of the use. This significantly reduced the resources used to build the building and reduces the energy used for the lifetime of the building. Building Location: The building and entrance is a located on the site close to the street with the parking behind the building, helping to promote and urban feel and allow easy access for pedestrians. Site and Exterior: Amounts of pavement and hard impervious surfaces where reduced to a minimum while still meeting the building needs. Landscape plantings where chosen that are native to the area and durable to our climate. Also planting where intermixed to help alleviate diseases wiping out large quantities of plants. Site lighting uses full cut-off fixtures which reduces light pollution. Exterior building materials where chosen for their durability and low amount of ongoing maintenance. Programmable thermostats will be used. Energy recovery is being used on exhausted air. High efficiency lighting will be used with occupancy sensors where appropriate. Water efficient fixtures will be used with sensor operated faucets where appropriate. Insulation values are much above the code required amounts. Interior: Interior paint is low VOC Building entrances have permanent walk-off carpets to help keep dirt and particulates from entering the building Many of the building materials have post-consumer and post-industrial recycled content. Provisions for future expansion have been incorporated into the main level and basement thus reducing the need for removal and/or replacement of walls, floors, doors, fixtures, HVAC equipment, etc. for future facility needs. |
